Dante Stella called this an under appreciated lens, while many others hunt for the better Canon 35mm f2 ltm lenses, i thought i should try to give this lens a try...and seriously took me a long search to find one that is reasonably priced and optically clean.
According to Dante Stella, this lens is a Planar type, single coated and 11 aperutre blades. It has good sharpness without being too contrasty.
The seller bundled it with the original hood and yellow filter.
Fit nicely on my VT Deluxe
Back to the images, i agree with Dante's review, its indeed sharp yet less contrasty...it tend to render a nice smoothness when shoot at f1.8..
Will show more pictures of it, in my next entry.

Leica M4-P
We live in an age where unnecessary things become a part of life....don't you agree?
My first encounter with a M4-P was during my trip to Shangri-la where i met a fellow photographer who was using it. His copy was quite battered up yet functioning fine which portrays a strong character in the camera itself that makes you wonder the journey and stories behind it.
Don't we just wish to own a camera like that? My R2A was simply lacking this....
Well, the M4-P is always in my mind since then. Nothing about its functionality, nothing about its history, its just a feeling and perception that stay in my mind and i wanted to own a copy like that.
That was 2 years ago, and i couldnt convince myself to get a copy until lately which i fell into the evil bay trap and so here i have a user copy of the M4-P one day in my mail box...
And so, i have found a rangefinder that i will bring with me on journeys. Have you found yours?

Canon 7 and Canon 7s
Among all the Canon rangefinder series, the Canon 7/7s/7sZ is the most advanced model. It has a total of 5 framelines in this camera, 35/50/85/100/135. The .9 viewfinder makes it very easy to focus as well.
Production of the 7s was only 16,000 copies and to find one with a working meter, no wrinkles on the shutter curtain and a functional copy isnt really that easy. Well if you compared to the amount of Nikon SP produced, it does makes it look more rarer! A good thing for me, its not as expensive as the SP.
The 2 rangefinders with the 2 Canon 50mm f2.2 ltm..
I bought my first Canon 7 rangefinder thru ebay together with the Canon 50mm f2.2 ltm. It was sold as a package and i even brought this setup with me on my trip to Japan.
And this morning, by chance, i owned the rarer model Canon 7s, thanks to Raytoei!
