It was a buying non stop year in 2011, so coming 2012, i really wish to narrow down on what i really need...Would love to focus more on photography rather than shopping.
I will also be writing reviews on the various vintage lenses that i have acquired so far. Definitely more meaningful than just buying and collecting these lenses.
In a way, it will also force me to shoot more and make better decision which of these lenses should go...
Well, no harm having a wishlist for 2012, so after going thru a few rounds of eliminating, i managed to cut down to the below few.
1) leica M3 DS
2) Billingham f1.4 series bag, something which i should have bought since long ago...
3) A better scanner than my canon 8800f
4) Probably a 35mm lens and a 50mm lens which i have yet to decide on or get a canon 70-200mm
2012 will be a year with less travelling, where these savings will help me with my travel plans in 2013...so save now, enjoy later :)
Well, hopefully in the coming year 2012, things will get better :)

Random streets walkabout
This is the first roll off my newly bought canon 35mm f2 ltm lenses from Japan.
Pushed the film to 1600...
I think it must have been a long time since i last push a film and the results wasnt fantastic...
Here are some of the better ones...
A Singapore historical trade exhibition or road show held along Victoria street.

Camera Porn in Japan
My recent visit to Shinjuku was absolutely fruitful.
All thanks to Benny for showing me around...i have never seen such large collection of antique cameras in my life...
Me at MAP camera!
These are bargains but then again, some had wonderful optics!
Benny was asking me, tell me what you are looking at and it will make the search fast and easy...
We found this along the way, a canon P with 35mm f2 lens but i didnt buy it on the spot...the price was so irresistible that i had to squeeze some cash out to get it!
Definitely worth all the effort to pick this up in Japan and im glad i did!

京都の秋の紅葉
Kyoto is a very beautiful place especially during autumn...
I took this series with Velvia 50 and Provia 100F...
Kiyomizudera Temple...its one the magnificent temple that i have visited in Japan during this trip.
Its very rewarding if you get the exposure correct on slides
The beautiful pathway decorated with all the red leaves leading you to the entrance of the temple
The sun was scotching on this day of visit
Before entering the temple, you are supposed to get blessed from drinking the water from this well.
Gion..the most look forward to destination
The traditional human trishaw
Greeted by the various colors of the leaves which makes Gion glow in Autumn, I knew i have reached Gion!
If you have a full day, spend it well at Kyoto...its definitely one of the most relaxing and beautiful place to walk around especially during Autumn.

Elyz and Adrian
I have always wanted so much a chance to cover a wedding in film. Even more after seeing what Jose Villa did with films for wedding...
Finally, i got the chance on Elyz and Adrian's big day. They were kind enough to have me thru the whole morning process and the chance to shoot freely.
Its a little tough to shoot on films especially for wedding. People arent really receptive to the idea of Black and white pictures on auspicious occasions, so it poses a little challenges to portray the happiness across these colorless pictures.
Shooting in color was equally tough as well...since most of the shots are indoor, the lighting was a major contribution to the mood of the picture. Given that most of the lighting was tungsten and that the lights available are very limited, i was worried that some of the colors might turn out awful.
Here are some of the pictures to share..
This was a good experience for me...but hopefully the couple will also like these pictures that i took for them...
